Americans go into depression when tell them my place of work

I agree

Indians are a very successful group

If anything americans would expect him to work in tech for good money

Why would it get awkward

I would just tell you that you're getting paper

Then talk about cars travel watches future plans

Oh brother
I generally found Americans to be quite nice tbh. People randomly greet me and tell me good morning, have a good day on my morning runs but they are passive aggressive at times.

That's good money, you'd never make that in Europe. The US is a great destination if you plan on moneymaxxing. For example, back when I studied nursing and wanted to become a male nurse, I discovered that in the US, a starting nurse can make $90,000/year. Let's see if that's still the case.... *googles* alright, so it's now around $95,000. While in The Netherlands, a nurse makes around $45,000/year only. Probably even less, actually, after taxes. Basically, it'd take around 3 years of work here in The Netherlands to make what you make right now in the United States. Crazy, right?
everything in the US is higher costs so it balances out

This is how the conversation usually goes:
Hey man what do you do for a living? You don't seem to be from around hwre
I tell them. Yea, I am from India and I work in DevOps.
Their face shifts to confusion Oh, what’s that? Is that something in IT?
I nod Yeah, sort of. It’s a part of the tech industry.
Then comes the next question Which company?
I name the company, and suddenly there's a flicker of recognition Oh yeah, I’ve heard of that one. Big name. Very well known.
Then they ask Where’s your office located?
I tell them. And right at that moment, I can almost see the energy drain from their face the smile fading, eyebrows raised slightly.
Damn, you work there? Must be making a lot of money then.
They force a chuckle, toss out a quick Good for you, man… good for you and then walk away.

It’s strange. The tone always changes after that part like the conversation stops being casual and starts feeling awkward.
sounds like they were just asking u to know so they could utilize you somehow
happens to me a lot, ppl talking and then go cold after 10 seconds once they get the info they needed

You should see if you can visit a ghetto and LARP as one of them, and then use just thugmaxx if they do accept you as one of their own. :ogre:

How will I utilize me by giving information away about my place of work

Meanwhile I can’t even get a summer job at Tescos in the uk because when one Indian gets hired there he just starts straight up strictly referring Indians for vacancies and they DNR every single other application because of it :ogre::ogre:
