Disclaimer :
I would like to preface this thread by admitting I have never struggled with women, am 19 years old, caucasian, and what could be classified as an hmtn facially. I graduated Phillip Exeter with a 4.8 weighted GPA all ap a year up, successfully founded a y-combinator fintech startup which then sold to a vc firm, while playing EYBL basketball, and now study finance at Upenn. Furthermore, I agree with almost all of the common rhetoric and ideology purported in this forum, the issue lies in how the information is conveyed. Lastly, no form of AI was used in this. Thank you in advance for your time.

I stumbled upon this community about a year ago, while in a relationship. Rather than seeking advice, I was intrigued by what seemed to be a relatively data-based quantification of something that, prior to this forum, had been labelled as almost purely subjective (bluepill disney ideology), or at the very least not openly discussed in normal conversation. After delving deeper and learning about the basic bp ideology, facial structure, the corresponding surgeries, and the legitimate softmaxxes, I noticed the entire community has
a few major flaws that dissuade and discourage newcomers and inhibit the ability to absorb and implement this valuable information. I also believe it heavily undermines the value of being NT, and attributes instances that don't align with the bp to fallacious labels ("Just be first" "Oofy doofy / Jestering" etc). These factors and the nitpicking of real, well established data to fit a narrative severely diminish and limit the reach while diminishing the alleged goal of this community, which is to help people improve their appearance.

The importance of a first impression

I urge anyone providing genuine, well intentioned advice to a newcomer or lesser informed person to reflect on their own initial opinions of this community. Your impressions may vary based on how you look, but the uniting factor is the initial confusion and general unfamiliarity with terminology, different facial features and bones, and the optimal ratios/placements for said features. Telling someone it's over or suggesting surgery right off the bat, while very likely the correct course of action, will steer away an immense percentage of people. Additionally, the select few willing to go through with any given procedure are burdened financially, and must still go through the long process of imaging, consultation, pre-op prep (Orthodontic apparatuses such as braces before Lefort procedures), and various other personal factors. This issue could be remedied by suggesting exclusively softmaxxing measures first, giving a newcomer an attainable goal they can instantly begin to work on. A simple de-bloat and weight loss protocol with proper attention to nutrition can result in a change that may inspire someone to take the next step surgically, even if osseously challenged. The upfront recommendation of surgery, in most cases, likely results in the complete abandonment of the pursuit of looksmaxxing due to the initially high barrier to entry. Additionally, the amount of facial analysis and debates done on celebrities has almost no genuine benefit attached to it, other than the improvement in one's ability to rate effectively. This behaviour crosses the border into strange due to the lack of benefit, and could be done in private should the need really be there. No remediation for this at the time of writing besides more stringent moderation, rules, and quality checks on threads.

The value of social normalcy & false attribution / over-labelling

In common media and life, you will occasionally see couples that aren't "looksmatched" per se, yet still seem happy viscerally. While much of the common rhetoric regarding these relationships is true and important to be aware of, lest you fall victim to them, it is a cynical view that will impede judgement and contribute to a generally negative outlook on life and promote ignorance and denial of statistical anomalies which are crucial to a well rounded understanding of the BP. An anecdotal example of this is a slightly above average, (mtn) 6ft Indian student finding success at a predominantly white student bar talking to a large sample size of white mtbs. While most may reject him, the ability to be humorous and NT in combination with the large number of approaches yields a result more favourable than those better looking or more appealing. Although anecdotal, this phenomenon has been observed through multiple countries I've visited, with many different subjects with varying failos (short, ethnic in a country where it's frowned upon, facially challenged etc). This phenomenon also occurs in popular mainstream media (Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco). In this community, these PSL mismatched couples would be labelled or passed judgement on, (gold digger, status pill, etc). This phenomenon is easily observable if you spend large amount of time in social settings where opposite-gender social interactions occur, and is hard to quantify the way clinical studies can be. While accurate in most cases, this rhetoric discourages forum members in a similar position from even attempting to pursue these women, effectively reducing their sample size to their own detriment, and causes them to second guess basic interactions with them. While this is not inherently harmful and may even be useful, the information should be conveyed segmentally rather than dumped at once and left at a newcomer's discretion to interpret, which very commonly results in an overwhelming amount of info and failure to act.

Data when it suits you

With the abundance of studies available on pubmed relating to peptides and steroids, and social studies such as the infamous dating app data aggregation, it is easy to find data that directly supports your point. Very few topics commonly debated in this space have a common, undivided consensus and often fail to account for statistical outliers. It is for this reason that I would advise people form their own, completely individualized opinions through professional consultation, aggregating large amounts of data from opposing parties and finding the happy medium , while learning to interpret bloodwork and self adjusting. Admittedly, this does take a higher degree of effort, but with something as important as your health, appearance, and future, I believe it is well worth it and can provide more self tailored, individualized returns on your time than listening to an influencer or the consensus of an org forum with 30 uneducated and impractical individuals

Thank you for reading. This was a very rough, unedited thread I compiled and more of a rant, depending on the reception I will post more in depth threads. I am open to constructive criticism and debate, and please feel free to correct me if you feel I have got anything wrong or mislabeled something. Tread carefully and remember to utilize this community as a tool to build you up, rather than a comparative benchmark or reason to not act on your situation.

Best of luck,

A

I think that is an intended part of the community as a whole.

More people understanding the bp and actually looksmaxxing leads to a relative decrease in everyone else's attractiveness. Why would we not want to inhibit the ability of others to absorb and implement the information attained through the bp?

The only reason for spreading the bp is so we can facilitate the spread and discovery of new looksmaxxing techniques. By discouraging newcomers that aren't willing to be hardcore (*Hardcore -> Most likely to contribute positively to the community) we get more spread and discovery of valuable knowledge WITHIN the community, therefore benefitting ourselves, while minimizing the "freeloaders" in the community.

The first rule of bp is to not spread bp.

good thread but you don't seem to understand your audience at all. I'd love to be part of a forum with higher standards that adhere to the virtues you outlined. but that can hardly be expected from the avg disaffected teenager the bp ideology appeals to. the contrarion and psuedoanonymous nature of fringe spaces like these makes accountability impossible and rewards users for being inflammatory and dismissive, a fact demonstrated immediately in this threads replies, among infinite others.

still you tried. if nothing else this is an admirable attempt to be the change you want to see. on the whole I agree with your analysis. what disappoints me is that you outlined in the title "real life uses" but instead focused entirely on critiquing the ideology in lieu of offering any practical advice. if you do commit to making this a series I'd look forward to hearing you explore that in a more cohesive, useful way than typically seen here.
