What "saving"?
Tired of looksmaxxers feeding you cope or things that lower your life expectancy by 50%?

It's unfortunately common for a lot of methods and teachings to be wishful thinking, a causation/correlation fallacy, or preached with the intent to sell products (tik tok). These methods spread quickly and are a stain on the looksmaxxing community since they're a waste of our time and money. To counteract this, you could ask ChatGPT, but even ChatGPT isn't always right and can sugarcoat things. It's also common to see preachings of dangerous methods, and it's sometimes easier to just listen to the people on this site, but you don't have to anymore, you can easily do your own research.

The importance of scientific literature in Looksmaxxing:
Scientific literature is too neglected here in the looksmaxxing community, and many are unfortunately very uneducated on the science behind a lot of the methods they read about or attempt. Studies are being conducted all the time by scholars with controlled variables that yield valuable results when it comes to aesthetics. With heightened scientific awareness, we can be way more productive and efficient in truly ascending our appearance. But how can we heighten our scientific awareness and become "high iq" looksmaxxers?

The Tool
The tool that is extremely underrated and which this thread is about is Consensus (https://consensus.app/search/). Basically, it allows you to ask any question and get an answer (consensus) which is derived from authentic scientific literature. It's free too and extremely useful for looksmaxxing questions. It allows you to acquire ACTUAL EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE, and be confident in methods that work, and methods that are cope or dangerous. It makes it simple to understand even for low-iqs, and links the studies so you can use them here on the forum to debunk cope. Additionally, by reading scientific literature you gain knowledge about true methods which can make you perceived as higher IQ. The only downside is that it is not useful for methods that there are no studies on (etc bonesmashing).

Here are some example searches (Click on them since they will be stretched):

You get a consensus meter which is quite helpful, along with lists of the studies that led to that conclusion. You can read the studies here or do your own research.

You can get a breakdown on the side effects of specific steroids, which you can then use to influence your decision whether to take them or not. A great tool to make sure you do not get fucked up by some weird substance someone on here recommends.

It can even understand some looksmaxxing slang, but sadly not a lot.

This has helped me a lot in making good decisions and building a good understanding of what works and what doesn't. I recommend checking it out. Before you ask, this is not sponsored... :kys:

Very interesting tool, my only question would be how accurate and reliable the tool is.

I would say it's completely accurate since it does not generate its results like ChatGPT. The conclusions are entirely derived from the studies. It links the studies too, so you can always refer to those.

Just demonstrated this tool's effectiveness in debunking and stopping the spread of stupid misinformation on this site, even from "high-rep" mfs. Stuff like fear-mongering thrives from the esoteric nature of scientific literature and people's lack of critical thinking, and it's unfortunately very present on this site. I cited 13 studies in my response to this guy and it was easy to find considering the scientific consensus was way against him. Here's the thread if you wanna read it. https://looksmax.org/threads/carnivore-diet-raw-meat.1215879/page-2

Chatgpt is shit. Either gives me the wrong information, something irrelevant or if I ask it for a paper it just gives me something useless. I always go through sites like pubmed or google scholar regardless, but this seems like a handy tool so ill check it out

it just tells you what you want to hear, its a product after all.

like: why does test grow bones

chatgpt: test is cope for bones because blablabla

you still have to read the studies because there are bad studies.

True, but consensus also has tags that indicate how cited the studies are and show the SJR score. It also notes if they are a systematic review, meta-analysis, etc.
