An oldcel at the gym just went crashout at me, need your advice (GYMCELS GTFIH)

I was training, and he asked me how long I had for the set. I told him I have 5 minutes (ca 1.5 minute training, 3.5 minutes pause), and then he told me that I'd never build muscles like this. Now I want to know: is he right? Should I make less amount of pause, or was he raging cus i was using the exercise he wanted to?
Also, what's the best split if I go 3-4 times a week?

3 min is enough for your cns to recover unless you're doing heavy compound lifts

3.5 minute rest is optimal for mur recruitment

Whenever i’m at the gym i get some sarcopenic or obese oldcel trying to give me advice and tell me i should do some stupid ass kettlebell bullshit instead of pullups and rows…..


Disregard, and ignore these boomers. They don’t know nothing about getting swole

what r u training what machine what reps and sets
3 sets
6-10 rep range
day 1: chest (flys, incline dumbell, bench press) shoulders (lat raises, shoulder press)
day 2: back, backside of the shoulders (wide and narrow grip pulldown, cable pulldown (kinda like ronaldo suii), katana flys)
day 4: arms (biceps where i have arms infront, hammercurls, trzeps pulldown and overhead at cable machiene)

wanted to ask him but before i could he went crashout, nigga didnt even let me speak. What do you think of the split, would you recommend something better?

back day is missing rowing work for thickness of back

i always just combined arm accessory work with my push/pull days instead of having a dedicated arm day

and then i trained legs

I always pause for atleast 2 minutes

3.5 minutes is ideal but it drains me too quickly, I don't have enough energy for a 2 hour good workout tbh

So that's why I wouldn't rest that much, im sure it's better though

Oldcel is just angry ignore him

I stare at the wall between sets with self hatred in my eyes, never rotting on the phone and nobody comes up to me :feelskek:

Yes that's also a reason why he flamed me. I always search for songs on my FYP, so I kind of have to.
