hey guys its one of my first guides on this app and today ill be going over something basic
STEROIDS 101
First, lets talk about what steroids are and how they work
Anabolic-androgenic steroids known as (AAS) are synthetic derivatives of testosterone, the primary male sex hormone. They are designed to mimic testosterone's effects in the body primarily targeting tissue growth and the development of male physical characteristics and attributes.
-Anabolic: Helps and promotes tissue building, muscle growth, and protein synthesis
-Androgenic: Also helps promote the development of male characteristics such as facial hair, voice hz, and muscle mass distribution.
Biological mechanism.. DUMBED DOWN BECAUSE NOBODY WANTS TO READ THE OTHER BS
1. At a cellular level, steroids work through typical cell membranes to directly alter how your genes function and build proteins inside of the body.
Steroid molecules travel through the person's bloodstream and pass through the cell membranes and skeletal muscle cells. Inside they connect directly to androgen receptors
2. Once bound, the hormone-receptor complex moves into the cell nucleus. It triggers DNA transcription, which signals the cell to produce more RNA. This instructs the ribosome to ramp up protein synthesis(the rate at which the body builds muscle tissue)
3. Steroids block cortisol and other glucocorticoid receptors. Everybody knows what cortisol is considering how popular it was on tiktok lol. Anyways back to the guide, By inhibiting cortisol, steroids keep the body in an anabolic state longer and reduce the time it takes you to recover in between training or reps.
4. They stimulate the kidneys to produce erythropoietin, increasing red blood cell production and help increase the amount. What this does is it improves oxygen delivery to muscles, boosting stamina and endurance during exertion.
PROS AND CONS:
Cons:
- Hormonal Shutdowns
- Cardiovascular strain
- Estrogenic side effects
- Liver toxicity
- Severe acne (Back, Chest, Face, and even on other places)
- Norwooding side affects. (IF YOU'RE ALREADY NORWOOD ONE DO NOT USE!!)
- Insane bloat( Water retention)
- Insane roid rage
- Goes away when you hop off
Pros:
- Accelerated muscle growth. Which means no spending your whole life in the gym just for no progress after months..
- Enhanced recovery speeds
- Increased strength and power output
- Improved endurance and training capacity
- Increased bone density
- The perfect physique you have always wanted
You might've already have heard of some classic steroids
Here's a list of some basic ones
- Testosterone
- Dianabol
- Anavar
- Deca-Durabolin
- Trenbolene Acetate
- Winstrol
- Anadrol
- Maestron
- Boldenone ( was used for horses but could also be used for humans )
SHOULD YOU USE STEROIDS
Imo, if you've been in the gym for years and see no progress the clear answer would be yes. But if you're not a subhuman with a shit physique and the most disgusting face, I see no point in it. Steroids are usually used for people who clearly want faster results for their physique.
Anyways this wasn't supposed to be an in detail guide of everything and me spewing stuff people who want to hop on, but don't know anything about the subject. Thanks if you read this far.
