Ancient egyptians sought immortality by preserving bodies through mummification believing that future advancements, spiritual or magical would enable their rebirth, much like how modern cryonics relies on future scientific progress to revive preserved individuals, I don’t buy the mainstream muh soul travel bullshit they tell about pharaons
