Actually in Swat on X chromosomes the female mediated Steppe doesn't hold plus the problem is Swat sampling is insufficient and there has been found 2 R1a along with 2 I2a (a haplogroup less than 5% in Sintashta/Andronovo) so it's very much possible the R1a carrying admixed people were cremated and there was male and female mediated influx
If cremation were the reason for the underrepresentation of R1a. Why don't we see a similar patterns in other Steppe-derived populations? Yes just Google "Kalash" and "Dardic" people. They have highest prevalence of this genome and are closest to what Andronovo-related Steppe groups looked like.
