If your average iq and have a functioning brain you have probably been on pubmed atleast once and read about animal trials, but have you ever wondered why should we trust them??? Im thinking of making a thread about how likely rat,pig and primate studies and results will work the same for you cause we know some trials arent finished and we cant bother to let them be finished and if your low inhibb enough you will probs try a not tested fully product so if you want that thread pls tell me. Whats your opinion on this??

Animal trials aren’t trusted because they’re identical to humans, they’re used as a safety filter.

Yes obviously tests on animals aren't a 1 to 1 with a human, however it gives us a margin of error. For example peptides on animals show us that biologically there is change. If organs immediately shut down that tells us there is definitely something wrong. We can use it to determine the dangers of something and it is relatively useful, even if it is not tested on humans.

Ya im saying how likely is it the safety filter is probs the same for a human?? Just wanted to make some high iq larp thread based on that

Animal trials is for sciencecels only

It depends what is used, we're not that far off biologically from other mammals, if something can kill or harm them then it sure as hell can do the same to some of us

Of course it depends on what we're talking, but it's a general rule

It’s not the same, it’s probabilistic. Animal trials catch many toxic failures early, but they’re a really just risk-reduction tool, not a human safety guarantee. It doesn’t totally eliminate risk

Ofcourse bro not even a 99% working drug on humans will eliminate total risk. Theirs always a risk but the lower the better

For the vast majority of drugs, animal studies are just a stepping stone to human trials. The main exception is longevity drugs/supplements/interventions, it is impossible to do such a trail in humans, mice are the best compromise solution cause they only live like 2 years. The NIH did a study, actually two, on calorie restriction in Monkeys, it took 25 years and resulted in largely ambiguous results, and even that study would likely never be approved in 2026 because of ethical concerns.

Damn also i thought rats were anatomically like close to us as well right?? Since they are mammals and all:feelshah:
