A lot of the most famous manga anime series are all often about superior genetics.
In fist of the North Star for example, all of the hokuto brothers besides jagi have the blood of a former successor. Kenshiro's uncle was the 62nd successor for example. Jagi is the only one not a descendent of the Hokuto Soke bloodline. He's the bastard of the 4, which is why he's so much worse than the other 3 in addition to them being the greatest prodigies of the art. That stems to why he is so bitter for the most part.
In yu yu hakusho, guess what? Yusuke is the descendant of the mozuku, the strongest character in the series.
Naruto's father was the 4th hokage and had the 9 tailed fox.
Inuyasha is about the 2 sons of an all mighty demon who was mostly unchallenged. And he was a gigachad popular with the ladies. In fact the reason he can dispatch full demons is because he has the blood of one of the strongest demons. A hanyo's strength is determined by the demonic power of their demon parents strength.
Well dragon ball and goku is an exception, but the only one I can think of. But frieza was always a prodigy and by far the strongest member of his race. When he actually started training to get new forms, he quickly surpassed what goku and vegeta worked EONS for.
