Back in my basketball days they were quite prevalent but i could still play through it
But now that im fighting on such high level cards internationally and training week in week out, ive resorted to taping my bad ankle and getting ankle compredssion wraps for my fights, ive also begun to look into ways to rehab it...it just really pisses me off sometimes, especially if i roll my ankle or something a few days before a fight.
 
it also takes long asf to fully recover too

just gives me motivation to train my ankles more so I don't get injured tho

100% train your ankles
Stretch them out before any workout/run, and use kettlebells or resistance bands on them too
