I’ll scrape data from a statistically random sample of .org threads throughout the forum’s history to discover trends. I’ll find evidence-based answers to the following questions:

• Is the forum going to shit?
• Is the forum rising or declining?
• Are reacts and reputation more scarce than before?
• Is the average post quality decreasing?
• Is the forum being innundated by greycels?

I will gather data from 1,400 threads. 200 samples from every set of 100,000 threads in chronological order.

I’ll make a graph that shows the average length and reading level for each of the 7 groups of 100K threads.

Let’s see if the metrics are going upwards or downwards.

Long as fuck. A major concern I have is the load placed on the .org servers and if I’ll get IP-banned for loading 1,400 threads in too short of a time.

In the final graphs, there’ll be 7 bins (groups of 100K threads) per graph, and the visual widths of the bins will be proportional to the length of time each bin takes up in the timeline of Looksmax history. Like this:

Major historical events, such as Lookism’s death, will be indicated.

I feel like the concept of "quality" in this situation could be adequately defined by the metrics outlined previously:

The term "quality" is gonna be inherently subjective, but since most established users here have a general, "built-in" sense of what a good quality thread is and a bad quality thread is, it shouldn't be too difficult to outline or describe in the post-experiment discussion.
