Anomalocaris
Meaning weird or unusual (anomalo/anomalous) This is a extinct species from the Cambrian explosion which was over 500 million years ago, it belonged to the Cambrian radiodonts.
What is a radiodonts?
Well very briefly they are a extinct group of arthropods.

What is the anomolocaris?
They were probably one of the earliest apex predators. They had 2 frontal appendages which were used to grab prey and its swimming flaps going down its body like other radiodonts. They had big stalked eyes which were very sharp(over for glassescels). Its presumed to swam smoothly in the water making it a fast, good vision and Its mouth was odd. It was made off 32 overlapping plates and probably would of looked like a pineapple slice. Some jewsciencetist believe it could of been used to crush their prey but others disagree.
they were quite big for their time(0.5 meters ish?)
Diet
now im not sure actually some say they ate soft bodied arthropods like a small/freshly molten trilobite or just soft bodied organism, like a isoxys.
-isoxys looks ugly as shit.
There probably a bit more i can add, definitely missing information and shit but anomalocaris are pretty cool i say so,
I might post about Aegirocassis which is just a huge version of this (2 metes heightmogs 99% of this forum imagine from a fucking shrimp looking thing)
