You can give a bad script with shitty dialog to good looking and charismatic (aka have good physical qualities) actors and they will still make it work. You can also give well written scripts/dialog to random losers and nobody will want to watch/listen to them.

Writing is secondary to delivery and presentation.

Case in point: Anakin Skywalker vs Kylo Ren.

The former is a shit character but the actor is good looking, while the later has a complex character but it doesn't matter because he looks and sound annoying so I can't take him seriously.
