imo, if you're paying well enough attention in lectures studying isn't all that necessary. depends on the class though, any math focused class that applies to. when they give you bullshit english / history electives you need to take that's when studying might be necessary cause it's all just memorizing 100s of bs terms that you'll never use again in your life and offer literally no mental stimulation

everyone is different though so, ideally the littlest amount of studying that still allows you to get the best grade you can
