Science paradigm changed definitely in the 1800's. Husserl talks about the process of "mathematization" of science, this is water for any academic. Science uses numbers, made up concepts and physical objects.

Science is real in the fact that it’s a concept created to understand things like physics, biology and chemistry. Math can be used to prove certain aspects of Science. This is basic stuff try harder.
