considering taking antidepressants, i may not be clinically insane but i tend to do self destructive behaviours and worry if that may get worse for me in the future

i know likely nobody here has the license to give me medical advice but does anyone have any idea what they’re capable of doing to somebody?

i’ve heard that people tend to be very different and “unlike themselves” after taking antidepressants

i’ll take anecdotes, studies, personal experience, anything please. i want to collect information and come to a conclusion about what they can do to people who might not necessarily need it and. do they tend to have low thresholds for an overdose?

Realistically they'll always be a net positive if it means you actually get to live your life, if it isn't that bad just find other ways to be better since some people do get zombified on them

If it’s for your inhibition I strongly recommend pregabalin with baclofen

You antagonize the gaba receptor when on baclofen so you’ll feel intoxicated the same way alcohol would but sides shouldn’t be so bad unless you go through with a high dose or take consistently. You should only take the 2 together every once in a while when you know it’s gonna be needed

They lowkey are but if your someone like me who hasn’t smoked, or gotten drunk once ever your brain’s neurons send chemicals every time you take a pharma or a moderately addictive substance to a comical level where not getting addicted is easier than a girl in miami
