Because egoists are not a political group, they don't have to be one group. They are considered a joke to the left and right. Despite that most people will have to focus on themselves to not die because the economic system values your life only on being useful. I know some leftist countries give support to the non useful people like those who don't have jobs or have mental diseases but even them will have to fix their lives first. You're born into a body to take care of. What egoists don't believe is in a general well being but in a larger scale of people feeling well individually means that the society is also functioning well.
