Maybe this doesn't so much apply anymore, but at least before during the era of social media normie men could still get married to decent looking women, insofar as they had good LMS.
I always find it a big warning sign when there is a big disparity in looks between a man and a woman, assuming the guy was lucky enough to be dating during the pre-social media era. My piece of shit father is a great example. While not a chad or even a chad-lite, he had decent SMV in his youth. He was tall, big and strong frame, made/makes decent middle class level income etc. Yet he married my mother, who is an ugly 3/10 sub-human with very low level of intelligence. Today this wouldn't be news, except my father married her back when the internet didn't even fucking exist. He married considerably below his own LMS. Not only that, but when he first hit on her (I know this because my mother told me this story) he did so in english, because he thought she was a foreigner. Keep it in mind this was in the past back when racism was way worse than today. Nobody goes for a foreign woman as their first choice. Let alone an ugly one. It's extremely obvious he was settling/dating down.
And I can see why. His personality is dreadful. He is low IQ and extremely arrogant. He's infamous for throwing temper tantrums and yelling at the family like a 4 year old. He respects nobody. Mother almost left him, though she changed her mind (probably because she realized she has nowhere else to go). My guess is that he already dated other women before my mother, but that all of them dumped him after they realized he's an epic shitbag.
Just lol at thinking it doesn't say anything about you that your wive is ugly. Ugly wive means either you have low LSM or that your personality is garbage.
