I have some books you havent heard of I love I can tell you but they arent really as much action or drama, most stuff I read is literary fiction so you might not like it but its all real world and not comedy. You might like historical fiction a lot tbh, read through all the classics

I'm on a samurai movie binge rn and the standout is definitely Harakiri (1962). Great film and still holds up really well.
