Doesn't happen to me since everyone speaks russian and I don't speak their language (would be nice to be fluent in ruski but it is what it is). It's easier for me to convey my own thoughts in english. Whenever I speak to my mother I use a lot of anglo words but she understands them nonetheless.

I’m in the same boat mostly bc spanish orthography is difficult and lacks acronyms. actually this is pretty much why every Spanish speaker sends messages out like a retard on whatsapp. It takes to long to write over text. English is way quicker. Also it’s low key a status thing. If you speak an excellent English why not flex it on those who couldn’t afford a proper education or were too dumb to learn on their own.

My mother mostly speaks Dutch to me, so I use to only speak Dutch until I realised how retarded I sounded trying to speak English and now only speak English to lose the goofy accent
