I've been seeing a lot of niggas with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic profile pics, etc., on here since I returned to the forum. How many of you like MLP?
I'm kind of surprised to see it still has as much momentum behind it as it does. I started watching it when Season 1 was airing, and I would get made fun of by my classmates for liking the show. I wonder if this new generation is less judgmental about that stuff.
I remember I got a Fluttershy toy in my Happy Meal as a kid. I really loved it, but I think my insane dad tried throwing it away. I still have the figure, though.
That was around January 2011, which I think is the same time I started watching the show. Pic included.
I remember the MLP fandom was really popping off and at its peak in 2014-2016. There were so many great fan-made videos and fan songs that I still remember and occasionally revisit to this day. I even got to see The Living Tombstone play their song 'Discord' live IRL in 2024.
Have any of you guys watched Generation 5, btw? I haven't watched any of it because it doesn't look that good.
I don't mind that they ended Gen 4 and started a new series, but I really think they should've kept the old art style, or maybe made the art style like that of The My Little Pony Movie.
Also, I just found this Fox News article about My Little Pony becoming 'woke' and I caged.
I read the article, and I genuinely don't know what the woke part is supposed to be.
To me, MLP: FIM will always be one of the cartoon greats.
So many great shows came out around that same time in the early 2010s. Like Lego Ninjago, Regular Show, and The Amazing World of Gumball.
Everything started going downhill when they started airing crap like Uncle Grandpa, Clarence, and Steven Universe.
Feel free to tag all the ponycels and bronies you know. Let's see how many we can get in this thread.
