Any other white guys notice a halo effect with minorities?

I'm solidly hltn, maybe mtn on my best days but whenever I go to a restaurant with a young black or hispanic waitress they're always super cheery and overly nice to me. I've even noticed this when I decided to try out therapy and my counselor was a black girl grad student. It's like a htn level halo effect if not higher. Anyone else have this happen?
