i suppose you never drink aswell? both substances act on the GABA receptors, except a reasonable dosage of alcohol will do much more harm

I do drink, although far less frequently than I used to (fortunately). You can‘t compare alcohol to phenibut. The former acts on GABA-A receptors and the latter on GABA-B receptors. I used to drink every day for quite a while and haven‘t experienced even the slightest withdrawals, even after quitting cold turkey and not drinking at all for a couple of months. Not trying to justify alcohol abuse but phenibut is far more like to make you addicted and even more so to cause withdrawals
