Your best bet is to do a consultation with a maxillofacial surgeon and he will tell you whether you need a bimax or just a genio (I did one as well for free and I was told that I only need a genioplasty). Legit no, certain surgeons will genuinely try to scam you by advising certain surgeries when others are needed

so many cases of a legit recessed patient coming in and leaving with just a chin implant when they need bimax

worth checking out but seriously do not just follow their suggestion blindly, they will advise implants wayyyy more readily than osteotomies because the procedure is much easier on them

I didn’t just stop at the consultation. I asked reputable users and gathered years of knowledge and I came to the certain conclusion that only my chin is flawed as far as profile goes. Maxillary and mandible forward growth and mandible are well above average.

Apart from doing your own research, it is important to get multiple opinions.
Worst case, all surgeons you've visited agree, best case, you get saved from a scam/surgery revision fuckery/masking falios instead of fixing them.
