i remember as a kid whenever i used to draw stuff for my parents they never cared about them and always threw them in the trash but now when i see my little sister drawing the most shit drawings my mom sticks them on the fridge

parents will always play favorites towards whoever is more "obedient" to them, essentially the child that outslaves the other one. any hint of iq and standing up to them instead of being thrown around like a retard, they'll dislike and nitpick everything about you, often setting you up as the "bad example" of the family. if you truly didn't do anything and they're complete douchebags genuinely do not take it too personally. old people nowadays are extremely unreasonable and stupid. i'd say definitely move out if you could
