thats it? n do expanders give you more forward growth? or fully fix maxilla? like does it depend on how bad your maxilla is?

does expander work better? or like for end goal would thumbpulling bring the same results but take more time? like an expander is on for a few months but thumbpulling would most likely take a few years

well it might give forward growth but i doubt it, it’s just separating your palate laterally constantly. thumb pulling won’t have any effect since it needs constant pressure so no need to do that.

Yes, an Expander would take months while thumb pulling would take years.
Expander is more width and thumb pulling is more up and forward growth.

lateral is cope but place ur thumbs on the alveolar process of the maxilla ( the bumpy hard part behind ur 2nd molar) and pull with controlled force slightly upwards to basically fuck the shit out of ur transverse palatine sulture, don't listen to retards who just pinned test and claimed it was from some fuck ass method

don't be an idiot and pull behind the canine, pull laterally, it'll influence forward growth via law of rotation in the mandible.
