Fact is starting a family is the biggest fucking scam ever and there is a reason birthrates are plummeting everywhere. People only did in the past because:

1. Religion.
2. Because in the past you didn't go to jail for beating the shit out of your wive and kids whenever they got too annoying to put up with.

Half true and half false.

The thing is that most parents don't really care for their kids as much they would like to or pretend to. They're very content with letting their kids playing 8 hours of videogames a day because it's just more weight off their shoulders. A good parent would pile the weight on knowing that it would benefit both of them in the future. They just coast through life checking off a list.

They have zero investment in any of these things. If any one of us had a kid we would fight tooth and nail to make sure he would not have to live through the same experiences we did. To them, they just wish for the best.
