I’m trying to wrap my head around the lore of the One-Wish Willow, specifically what happens to Ian’s billion dollars after he dies.

On one hand, the movie explicitly tells us through the customer service hotline that when you die, your wish goes away. We see this happen in real-time with Nikki; the exact second Bear dies, she snaps out of her trance. So logically, the moment Nikki shoots Ian, his wish should end too, right? The money should just vanish.

On the other hand, the movie shows the cash just sitting there on the floor. People have argued that maybe physical matter works differently than brainwashing someone, or that the customer service guy is just a sketchy, unreliable source who didn't give them the full rules.

What do you guys think? Is the cash staying behind a plot hole that breaks the movie's own rules, or is there a loophole in Willow's logic that actually makes sense?

There is no info about what happens to physical wishes so you can only guess
