Anyone else get really thrown off seeing couples in public

Whenever i go to town and i'm having a good day, i always end up seeing couples around my age and it puts in a state of panic and sadness, Im not usually a jealous or envious person at least in my thoughts but i cant stop but feel this way when i see this. Apparently according to jungian psychology it has to do with the fact that your outward persona is not good enough for what your true inner self desires from life so it creates psychological friction. I dont think this is something i can forget about or drop, i either become good looking enough and low inhib to find love or i might live with this shadow the rest of my life.
