Yes. when you’re non-NT/socially anxious or high inhib, having low trust features can often make your situation worse. People begin to read your silence and awkwardness as more threatening, offputting, and scary.

When you have a striking face with big bones there’s a higher need to compensate with social performance in order to put people at ease. It gets better when you get into the habit of intentionally smiling more and generally controlling your expressions/body language/way of speaking to convey friendliness and warmth; even if you’re still a little awkward. Just takes practice.
