Anyone get urges that they need to do for no reason

For example if I see a word I dont understand or a reference I didnt get I need to search it up or when I sleep I need to make sure that the doors closed like if my mind thinks or locks on something I feel like im a slave to my desire and I need to do it or I cant continue anything.
