Anyone give themself a fade at home?

I despise going to the barber and throwing money away just to get haircuts that weren't how I wanted it anyway. I know some users here with longer hair cut it themselves and it looks good, but for me that's not ideal and fades are my best option, which makes the barber an even more annoying and expensive necessity seeing as how fades start to look crusty after a couple weeks.

I would be happy even just going from a 1 on the sides to a 3 on top so I feel like it wouldn't be that hard to pull off but I don't want to fuck my shit up over and over until I get it right, so I'm curious if anyone's tried it

I cut myself a fade every 7 days maybe 6

And im honestly satisfied with how it looks tbh

Also takes way less time and shit also no money besides the machines themselves

It takes me 20 minutes tbh but thats because i also cut on top a little and always watch a video while cutting so im not bored

Also the first few times people have called it out at school but only guys.They have made fun of me for it but thats cool.

It looks alright now that no one but comeplete hair autists notice that it isnt perfect
