Mine was bad but it was by causing a snowball effect, my mother being a jehovahs witness and mentally ill left me unable to make friends or share in any hobbies other kids had (because that was satan trying to take me from paradise), so ultimately my social skills didn't develop. Had genetic fighting parents with separations etc, my mother would hit me, not beat me per say I know some kids actually have it rough with proper beatings, she got charged for it at some point though, Overall it was the lack of social ability that would really set me up for failure in life: not making many friends in primary school and then ultimately being betrayed and thrown away by people in hs I did end up knowing. Just constant isolation since i was young
