I'm not ethnically Dutch though haha. Err, I'd say practically everyone can speak English but in varying degrees. A lot of people gravitate towards British English whereas some, including yours truly, gravitate towards American English. This is because I grew up watching American tv shows when I was younger. That's how I learned English. By the time I was in high school, I barely learned anything in terms of grammar. The only thing I learned is that it's "a universe" instead of "an universe." I would also help fellow students with their English homework just because I excelled in it, although I didn't get the best of marks, though I would blame that on not studying for them since I felt like I didn't need to. Eventually I graduated with a 7.0 average, so that's pretty good as far as grades go.

I've never been to the UK before though, and I don't really have relatives living there except for a small family of four. I have heard of The Gambia. My best friend is blasian (South East Asian and West African) and he was into this female classmate of his who was from The Gambia (both were Islamic, too).

No, you're absolutely right. There's only 20,000 of us here. There's a lot of Surinamese here, they're either Creole (West African ancestry) or they're "Hindustanis" (South Asian ancestry, from India). My best friend is half Surinamese (of Creole descent) and half Indonesian (of Javanese descent). Surinamese number around 500,000 people in total. Same with Indonesians, Moroccans and Turkish.
