Is everyone here addicted? I had times where I fapped less, I had time where I fapped more. But whenever I tried to stop completely, my sexual desire for women completely got away, I became asexual, no testosterone whatsoever. I feel like it is because I started when I was so young, like 11 or 12 years old, now 17 years later it is probably part of my sexuality and whenever I try to stop, it shuts down my sexuality completely because porn is tied to it. Is this correct and should I still just push through it? Will my natural sexuality come back then? Right now I only get aroused with women when I do the stuff that I watch in porn too. The same positions, the same sex stuff etc. I dont know how sex would feel like or how my preferences would be if I stopped porn forever.

I quit for almost 2 years. I was pretty easy which made me think that it wasn't really an addiction, so I let my guard down, and then once I started back up I could see how addictive it actually. I didn't choose to start again but I accidentally saw some girl's insta who I had seen nudes of, which made me look them up, and that was the beginning of the end.

That's normal. That's the "flatline." Eventually it goes away and you will become obsessed with girls and sex. I remember after I quit I was looking through a book of antique scent bottles, and there was a porcelain one of a girl masturbating and it gave me a boner, in my late 30s.

I have high T, I tested it with my urologist. But maybe I fucked my dopamine and testosterone receptors with porn. However I dont have any trouble building or retaining muscle.

Oh man I guess I have to do it all over once again. I hate how everything nowadays is sexualized. Every girl on bumble or tinder that I swipe shows her ass. On instagram, youtube, everywhere.

I essentially view porn in this way. Morally, I'm against it. Watch Perfect Blue as well.

So, I move to the best next thing, user-generated content. Then I realize their fathers didn't raise them right and then I get mad. She could've been someone proper if the dad was competent.

I slowly rage. Then I get distracted by tiktok or something.

Yep. Fapped daily for over a decade. Went cold turkey and now even if i fap, i don't use porn or anything. Our imagination is superior. I don't have to fap though, i can randomly go weeks without doing so if i want to.

How would you say it affected your sex life and life in general? What has changed, how was it before and after?

I hate how everything nowadays is sexualized.
This is kind of ironic given that I was talking about 19th century erotic scent bottles.

stopping porn will force you to look outward for sexual prospects. simple logic. however if ur ugly or short, its over (unless muslim/jewish)

The problem with this logic is that women dont want to be pursued. I never had success when I actively tried to get girls. The most girls I get is when I am fapping myself to death basically, showing zero interest in any interaction with girls whatsoever lol. So quitting porn and interacting more with girls IRL is actually counterproductive for me. However that wouldnt be a reason not to quit porn tho.

The psychological effects of porn on the brain can't be reversed. If you quit, nothing changes in your brain and you don't gain magical powers. That is just a marketing technique. Quitting porn entirely is only useful if it consumes valuable time. Otherwise, nothing is gained from quitting porn. Nofap is even worse, imagine letting your hormones run rampant and control you. Will never trust the clowns espousing either of these things as going to change your life. Even Chad watches porn and faps, the only difference is he fucks too

Its not broscience, it is real science. However obviously you wont become chad or increase attractiveness by stopping porn. Maybe through changes in your testosterone and dopamine system your skin gets better and you have less DHT because you are ejaculating less so less hair loss. But besides that

more energy, less fatigue, increased motivation for women ans life in general. I don't have a gf. I don't think you should masturbate more than once a week max, preferably nofap or weeks of abstinence. I think I'm losingless hair aswell.

Sharing my anecdote here: I quit seeking out porn for a few months because I fell for the meme, went fully cold turkey. Didn't change anything. The thing is if you live in the west it's impossible to truly quit porn as you are being exposed to it indirectly all the time. So the effects of seeing porn once are permanent even if you stop actively trying to consume it. Being an addicted coomer is obviously bad, but the positive effects of quitting porn aren't really that drastic besides less of a time sink

Read this:

Maybe some people quit through brute force but I can imagine they are always addicts, so, one wrong move from watching porn again. What I like about that book, it tackles the reason why you are using porn in the first place, once you deal with that, the urge is a joke.
