A quantum state is the collection of all relevant physical properties of a quantum system, which we represent as a vector. States can be exclusive, i.e. the particle can't be in both states at the same time, and you make such states at a right angle from eachother. You can collect a set of nonzero exclusive states and make a seberable hilbert space with them, where the exclusive states form the orthonormal basis. You can take superpositions of these states by taking linear combinations, where coefficients are called the amplitudes.
By borns rule, we can measure the probability of which of the orthonormal states it's in relative to another state y by taking the square of the absolute value of the dot product between the orthonormal state and y. After the measurement the og state collapses into one of the possible orthogonal states.
We can perform quantum operations by taking unitary maps sending quantum states to quantum states. They have to be unitary to keep the probabilitistic interpretation possible. You can use ts to explain quantum interference.
For multiple quantum states, you can take the tensor product of the individual hilbert spaces.
