what are the price ranges for solid new cars in Europe?

I don't want to buy some trash for like 15 k E, but also don't want to invest in luxurious vehicles, since overcompensating with them is very tacky

my only requirements are that they are
- black,
- functional and practical,
- not too generic/common among car owners and
- aesthetic (oval shape, low)

example of what I find aesthetic, for reference:

Mercedes Benz Class C coupe is the one I posted. Id recommend buying the new Lexus IS350. Solid ride, AWD, decent power, practical and very reliable.

high enough. but it doesn't matter, I don't intend to buy something super expensive just to flex.

just want a, roughly speaking, a 75th or so percentile car that looks good to me and isn't notorious for common mechanical issues since I can't be bothered with repairing something all the time.

also, if I'm not wrong, it's not just about the purchasing price, but about how costly it is to maintain it over the years.

So as previously stated and also my opinion your best bet would me a mercedes… if you don’t care about performance then buying an amg is just a waste of money… just make sure it had the amg line sports package as it will make it look sportier… any saloon or coupe will do… c class, e class, s class, cls class etc they get more expensive and more luxurious the higher you go, the best one imo for the price, design, sex appeal, comfort will probably be e class coupe (2017<)

I'd say you should go to a car dealership and see the car in person first before making any judgements. More cars I'd recommend are Audi S4, BMW 330i, Volvo S60 T6.
