Anyone here takes Thyroids Meds?

I have slightly low thyroid levels. The doctor told me I could take meds but I dont need to. However it looksmins me: bloated, tired face and bad skin complexion.
Anyone here took meds and can tell if it was worth it, considering purely from a health aspect I dont really need them?
