fuck. i remember when i was in HS, it might be a 5k-15k word assignment.
getting started was the biggest pain, once you wrote something you got the ball rolling. but getting that first 200 words felt like pushing a car uphill
nowadays if you're on a blank slate you can input some nonsense to AI chatbot and it'll spit out half useful shit you can correct yourself.
they probably raised the bar now on ideas, complexity and execution instead of just how good it looks on the surface
