I have a good opportunity to lease a new facelift 2020 Audi A5. And I need a new car anyway. Would this be of any benefit regarding females? Or is this just poor mans coping

Yes, having a better car then everyone else is a big halo, here in Romania, in poor rural regions having a car, any car is a huge boost in your status, I remember when I was a high-school, my cousin just got his driving license, so we took our father's car for a ride, and visited a nearby village. The girls from the village would giggle and wave their hand at us, I simply couldn't believe it, I was like: "What is this sorcery!???".
The problem is since then many people have bought cars, even though we are the poorest country in the European Union, people buy the most expensive cars, just to show off, so it's much more difficult now to impress someone with your car.

I live in germany, everyone has a car here except university students. Would probably be even harder here

Then buy the best car you can, and it must be foreign, I don't know if German cars have the same status in Germany as they do in other poorer countries, I know they use Mercedes E-Class as taxis there, so you probably won't impress anyone with that, buy a Bentley, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. instead!

it's cope. it maybe draws a bit of attention to you but an audi isn't doing that, and if you step out looking like shit even a lambo wouldn't help you much.

nvm you're also from germany. legit forget it. everyone here has a car, you can be 18 and just started your ausbildung and drive around in a new leased audi. buy a cheap used opel, leasing is always a scam, and spend the money you save on soft-maxxing, surgeries or hobbies

it shows you come from a low-class shit-hole country if you think like that. + if OP had the millions necessary to buy/lease a bentley, aston martin etc. he would have surgery maxxed and wouldn't have to worry about girls anyways. cars in the west are nothing more than a short initial impression and a bit of attention, you still have to deliver on these expectations and no car will do that for you

I am not rich, I have above average salary only. So no exotic cars for me.
And ure probably right.. I ll just buy a used audi a4 or Mercedes C class for 10k and then drive it forever (after I give back my leased car)
