Anyone tried Syrian rue micro-dosing as a nutropic?

I've been looking into nootropics and obviously a fairly common option is psylocibin micro dose for 5-HT2A stimulation and some even use micro-dose LSD or DMT. My question is, can MAOIs (specifically harmala alkaloids) such as Syrian rue be used as neuroenhancers when used on it's own without using it as a middle man to allow other other chemicals to cross the BBB?

No reason to choose it over a traditional maoi like transcycline or sele/rasagiline unless its for doing dmt

ig, it only cos i grow it at home so i have like, a fair amount in storage and nothing to do with it other than trip on the weekends
