I totally have a passion for it, i think this mostly stems from me being it good at it, unlike powerlifting, which i have horrible leverages for, oly lifting i picked up really quickly. Rn i do it for my school but im hoping to do some usaw meets next year or the one after that, but if those dont work out im gonna try to go to Lsu or lindenwood. Also, in powerlifting something that sorta turned me off from it was that you either have the strength for the lift or you dont, if you max dl is 230kg and you need to pull 235kg for the win, after squats and bench, you not gonna do it, but with oly lifting, since its so much more momentum based, you can always try to jerk a little deeper and faster, or pull as aggressive as you can.Should look into powerlifting over Olympic lifting unless you have a true passion for it.
No im like 95% white=are you chinese
Yea if you’re in school then definitely stay on path for it. Hardest part for most is finding people to properly teach them and you have that already. Just ordered some romeleos 2s last week and they come in a few days super pumped to try them out.I totally have a passion for it, i think this mostly stems from me being it good at it, unlike powerlifting, which i have horrible leverages for, oly lifting i picked up really quickly. Good luck bro, almost everyone ends up finding some mobility problem within oly lifting that takes months to fix, for me with my was t spine on jerks. Youll love oly lifting tho its hard asf but its so rewarding.Yea if you’re in school then definitely stay on path for it. Yea for me it’s my ankles right now, I think it’s just a mobility issue that will go with time. I had some lower back issues when I first started just due to spinal column being fairly narrow.Good luck bro, almost everyone ends up finding some mobility problem within oly lifting that takes months to fix, for me with my was t spine on jerks. Like ankle mobility in squatting? I cant really relate but ive also had a mid squat in terms of weight because i have long ass legs.Yea for me it’s my ankles right now, I think it’s just a mobility issue that will go with time. risk of injury from repeated stressing, like just general pain is like guaranteed, but like tear something or dropping the bar on your self is lower then like powerlifting or something.it’s just about technique and having the mobility perfrom the lifts also the risk to injure yourself seems high
Yea just mobility mainly, my legs are fairly long as well but I still try to get atg.Like ankle mobility in squatting? I cant really relate but ive also had a mid squat in terms of weight because i have long ass legs.
These guys’ videos help me get my squat much better.
Yea that makes sense, I mean it’s not even that big of a deal given you want to compete.I mean for me i dont have the issues of a tall lifter, im 5'8, but i just have some long ass legs, like this 6'1 guy i know, his hips are at the same height as mine, if that give any idea of my long ass legs. I mean i can get pretty ATG, but i just aint moving allat much weight. Also my arms are long as fuck too, i have a 5'11 wing span, i lowk got cursed with the worst leverages for weightlifting but its whatever i guess.
