First, you need to understand what PSL & Appeal mean:
PSL:
Definition: PSL (Perceived SMV) is the totality of how sexually desirable you are to the opposite sex, determined primarily by objective facial structure, dimorphism, harmony, and overall phenotype.
Appeal:
Definition: Appeal is the emotional or aesthetic attraction your face gives off — the “vibe,” style, or market niche of your look. It’s how much your look hooks people visually, even if the raw structure is average.




PSL (Perceived Sexual Market Value):

This is basically your raw attractiveness how good-looking you are on a purely physical, instinctive level. It’s what people notice in the first second before they know anything about you. PSL comes down to things like your bone structure, jawline, cheekbones, brow ridge, face ratios, projection, and all the hard features that are mostly determined by genetics.



It doesn’t really change much unless you make big physical changes (like surgery or significant weight loss/gain). PSL is how your face naturally ranks in terms of sexual attractiveness stripped of hairstyle, clothes, or personality.





Appeal:

Appeal is different. It’s about how desirable or magnetic your overall look feels once everything style, vibe, grooming, skin, expressions comes together. Two people can have the same PSL, but the one with better styling, cleaner skin, sharper fashion, or a more striking vibe will have way more appeal.



Appeal is also more emotional it’s the reason someone might not have elite bone structure but still gets tons of attention. It’s how your look hits people, not just how it measures on paper.







Most of the time they go hand in hand but sometimes there's a difference.
People will say if you have high PSL therefore you have high appeal.
However, this statement is not always true and doesn't always necessitate.
For example, Jordan Barrett currently looks like a malnourished uncanny alien and I'd assume you would agree with me.
He has high PSL but has very minimal to no appeal which is an exception here.
