I actually quite liked my job
I like being alone at home, but after experiencing both sides, I’d rather be working, at least part time.

Applying for jobs is so draining tho. I only really apply to fast-apply ones on indeed, or ones where u just enter basic info and upload CV. Occasionally I might ChatGPT a cover letter. Having to read job descriptions where it’s basically like “do you live and breathe customer service? Will you sacrifice your life for our company for near minimum wage? We want you!” is just demoralising.

Realistically tho, even most of the “good jobs” barely pay much more than the jobs that require 0 effort or qualifications (partly because minimum wage has risen), which is one reason even shitty retail etc jobs are hard to get now, as qualified people don’t mind taking them over more “professional” jobs.

I also applied for job seekers allowance, but haven’t heard back yet, even tho I’m supposed to have. Perhaps it’s cos I’m still employed (but without any work) so they might think I’m working. Though you can still get JSA if you work less than 16 hours a week. I was working 40 hours a week until I got removed from my post, so maybe they don’t know. Anyway, JSA sucks too. You get £75 a week and have to prove (emails etc) that you looked for jobs for like 30+ hours a week, then have to attend meetings every other week and take whatever shitty job is offered to you (care worker etc) or you stop getting payments

Impossible
1. Because bachelors degrees have become increasingly worthless, and everyone has them now
2. A lot of competition in my field
3. All decent science jobs require at least a masters degree. You have people with PhDs taking jobs for near minimum wage because it’s work everyone wants to do. If you have a bachelors, you might get a lab tech role if you’re lucky, and they’re mostly dead end

Bro weren't you working as Security or some shit. You're safer than 99% of wage cuck normies in terms of not losing a job
