not really no. when i do it usually goes fine, but i'd just talk to them man.
Your biggest issue is you're trying to win, or trying to get something from women when you talk to them. they can feel that. you're trying to think of this perfect approach that will make them like you. having a conversation with a women isn't a big deal at all. especially since they are going to be doing most of the talking anyway.
the truth is, you have to just approach them talk to them like they are regular people. be a bit flirty, and then give them some room.
i'd look for women that are already interested in you. people look at things they like a lot, and don't look at things they don't like. its a bit beyond their control. you will just feel their gaze if they are interested.
going to sound cliché but literally just be yourself, and believe that you are a likeable guy.
