Are 2.3 inches too much for a shoe?

I got these adidas sneakers which add like 2.3 inches/6 cm to your height is it too much? Is the difference unexplainable if I take my shoes off? Thanks

Insole is incongruous

It would be better to get a 1 inch lift and a 1 inch insole, it would look better on the outside

Nah that's good. No one gonna notice anyway. Even if they notice it's not that much of a social death sentence as people make it out to be especially when it's just a shoe, since you could always say you just liked the design or they were cheap on sale. Shoe lifts on the other hand should be hidden as much as possible

its not a whole ton its just the shoes themselves make it look super obvious as to what its doing

Hm yeah if you do it right it should be no problem. Put them in a high top sneaker and wear baggy/loose fit pants with a wide leg opening bonus points if the pants are slightly too long then shoe lifts should be practically undetectable if you dont have to take off your shoes. Personally ive never been called out since i usually par them with nike AF1 high tops and some wide fit jeans

yea maybe just the OG photo exaggerated it. imo its a good looking shoe and an extra 2 in. is worth it in any scenario.
