I debated with my friends and all of them said big muscles are stronger

Muscles are stronger than bones. But big bones + muscles is stronger than small bones + muscles.

It's like that saying: hard work wins until talent starts winning.

No. It’s like saying hard work without talent wins until talent starts to work hard as well

Big bones should be stronger not because of size alone but because larger bone surface allows for greater tendon attachment; and strength and power output on a core level comes from tendons and ligaments which is why arm-wrestlers beat bodybuilders.

Big Muscles obviously strong too. It's not one or the other, to be truly strong u need a balance of both. Bigger bones = bigger anchor points for tendons and muscles = greater strength than just big muscles alone.

What do you mean exactly? Like a guy with a small humerus big large sorrounding muscles is stronger than a guy with more mass on the humerus but less muscle?
