The definition of neurotypical is a person of whose brain functions and develops as to populated expectations. Wouldn’t that technically mean every genius would be neurodivergent considering that their brain excels expectations? I mean there are some incredibly famous geniuses who are theorized to be neurodivergent such as Einstein, Isaac Newton, Alan Turing, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison, Mozart, etc. all of these people have one thing in common and that is their ability to utilize their brain in a certain way that others can’t, a contradicting factor of neurotypical people. Also I was just thinking, if people who are neurodivergent excel in certain areas of cognitive thinking, wouldn’t someone who for instance lets say has ADHD be able to retain more information and knowledge if they are interested in a certain topic than someone who is neurotypical? Not saying that specific example makes them a genius but imagine that on an exaggerated level. Then again I could just be spazzing on like a total tard and my theory has no backing to it whatsoever.
