I know I am, when I had this crush a good few years back I kept interpreting everything in the best way possible, example: “she talks and smiles heavily to one of my friends? Oh it’s Cus she wants to make me jealous I mean she only did it whilst I was there!!!”

Curious how annoying it is for you guys and if u guys have any examples of how your overthinking took one thing and made it into another thing.

I always overthink, any situation possible, and people hate me for that lol. but its not that this is some kind of bad trait, I think that this is typical of every person who knows how to even think. The main thing is not to torment yourself with these thoughts and not to put other people in danger because of them

Yes, but it happens less frequently nowadays. Some of it is borderline insane though.

I'm going to truncate this a bit:
Basically I was playing around with a balloon that had confetti in it, then noticed a girl smirking as she was walking past me.
Then a couple minutes later a friend came around and said "I'm pretty sure that's a condom". The girl I saw smirking had been sorta dating another guy around. I started thinking she had crafted this "condom balloon with confetti inside" as sort of a gag gift for this guy she's been dating to congratulate him that he lost his virginity to her or something like that (the guy was/is a virgin who barely socializes). I thought she was smirking because I was playing around with her fucking condoms. Eventually the guy she was dating came around and I kept trying to get him to "spill the beans". I kept asking him "You really have no idea who made this condom balloon?".
Eventually I found out that the "condom balloon" really is just a regular balloon. My friend and I were just retarded. To be fair, in terms of color it did look a lot like a condom, since it was white with yellow-ish highlights. But it was too round to be an inflated condom.
