I willingly booked a consult looking into potential for braces. But the more I read on here and poke around online I see claims of potential recession (which I already have enough of).

Obviously the orthodontist would be the person to ask, but I'm paranoid about them dismissing my worries due to chasing the bag.

For reference I'm 18, so I'm aware the effect of this is very minimal. I just want this for straight teeth

Nah, it does its job, it just moves the teeth, but of course, I wouldn't recommend premolar extractions because they might change your face, but in the meantime, braces do their job without changing anything.

I had a consult with the ortho, and he said no extractions required. And that I might get some horizontal width aswell, due to how my teeth kind of slant inward
